Covid Update

In following Alberta new regulations I am still able to remain open and capture your favourite moments. This might look a little different than in normal times but memories are so important, and we especially need to capture this year to remind us of the joy, the snuggles and the time spent together or apart.  

I am not asking for deposits on sessions at this time, however I do ask that you please respect my time and reschedule your session if needed as soon as you can. 

If you or I are experiencing any Covid like symptoms we will reschedule your session for a later date. 

Family, maternity and other photo sessions can be done outdoors very safely from a distance, especially with a longer lens. For indoor sessions masks must be worn by both myself and my clients up until the time when photos will be taken. When this time occurs masks by subjects being photographed will be removed.

FAQ

How do I book a session?

The booking process is very easy to navigate.  Once we have discussed session details and you decide to go ahead and book your session, I will send you a contract, and questionnaire. After the contract is signed, you will be invoiced for the deposit. I require a 50% non-refundableretainer to book your session. The remainder of the session fee is due the day of the session.

How long does it take to receive my completed images? 

You will receive an invitation to the online gallery within 4 weeks of your session. At that time, you will be able to download all of your completed high resolution images. 

How do I receive the images?

I use an online gallery to deliver your photos. The images are high resolution and the gallery requires a password. You will receive an invitation to the gallery and will be prompted to download the images to your computer. Once on your computer, you can print as you please. You do have an option to purchase through me high quality professional prints of your images. 

What things do I need to know before booking my session?

It is important to know what your gaols are for your session. What you want to communication through the images captured. This is helpful information for your photographer to plan your session. Four important things to think about when planning a photo session is: 

  • Light - I am a natural light photographer, so knowing when the sun rises and sets is important. Best lighting is about 1.5 hours before sunset or about 20-90 minutes after sun rises. You can view sunrise and sunset times here: Sunset/sunrise times.
  • Location - Think about a location that tells part of your families story. Somewhere that might be meaningful for you. For example if you want to include your family pet, you need to consider pet friendly locations. Or if your kids love to explore a local creek, or maybe it's where you had your first date. Also keep in mind of where the sun is in those locations and any distracting backgrounds like buildings, construction, roads and signs ect. 
  • Wardrobe - What you are wearing can really set the whole tone for you images. Please consult your photographer for help styling your family session. 
  • Consider who will be in your photos and what are the most important moments you want to have captured. Like your engagement rings, hand holding, you with your elderly pet etc.
